真珠の海の春 | Spring in the Sea of Pearl
ここは1300 年以上前からあこや真珠が眠る海。春は行ったり来たりしながらもこの海に春の訪れを告げます。
それは真珠の海に咲く海石榴、山桜、春霞の空、エメラルドの海に顔を出す小さな魚さんたち。
あこや真珠貝たちは移りゆく季節とともに海の中で春を待っているのです。
この四季により変化する海があるからこそ、日本のあこや真珠は世界から定評があるのです。

This is the sea where Akoya pearl oysters have slumbered for over 1,300 years. Spring comes and goes, gently heralding its arrival. These Camellias and mountain cherry blossoms bloom along the pearl sea, beneath hazy spring skies, while little fish peek out from the emerald waters.
As the seasons pass, the Akoya pearl oysters await the coming of spring beneath the sea. It is precisely how Akoya pearls earned worldwide admiration because they change through all four seasons.
Acoya has prepared four collections celebrating spring’s arrival in the sea of pearls.

Magic Hour
暖かさが感じられる風にふと笑顔が溢れる、3 月。
春霞みに全てが淡い色合いに包まれる頃。
柔らかな光の春の琴の海、真珠の海のマジックアワー。
空と海が恋こがれ、繋がる時間。
様々な色の希少なサファイア、ファンシーサファイアと、無垢の虹色の輝きの真珠を合わせ、この魔法の時間を真珠のジュエリーにしました。
Magic Hour
March, when warmth in the breeze suddenly brings a smile to your face.
When everything is covered with pale hues by the haze of spring.
The spring Koto Sea, a magic hour over a pearl sea bathed in soft light.
The sky and sea yearn for each other, a time when they connect.
Rare sapphires in various shades, including fancy sapphires,paired with pearls radiating pure iridescent brilliance — this magical moment is captured in Acoya pearl jewellery.
早春、真珠の海では、紅椿が咲く。真っ赤な椿の落ちる海に、あこや真珠貝はねむっているのだ。
真珠の海の美しい風景の一つだ。
この紅椿が登場する好きな本がある。石牟礼道子氏の、椿海の記、そして椿姫。今回は椿姫にインスパイアされたコレクションを作った。
椿はもともと日本の花。17 世紀にはヨーロッパに輸出された。その美しさは、ヨーロッパで大ブームとなった花である。
椿姫
１ヶ月のうち25 日間は白い椿を身に付け、残り5 日は赤い椿を身に付けた、マルグリッド、椿姫。
彼女の純粋な愛は真珠の無垢な輝きのように、その情熱はガーネットの真紅の輝きのように。マルグリットの名はギリシア語で真珠の意味でもある。
In early spring, crimson camellias bloom in the pearl sea.
Amidst the sea strewn with scarlet camellia petals, the Akoya pearl oysters slumber.
It is one of the most beautiful scenes of the pearl sea.
There is a favourite book of mine that features this camellia: The Sea of Camellias by Michiko Ishimure, and The Lady of the Camellias (La Dame aux Camélias).
For this collection, I drew inspiration from The Lady of the Camellias. Camellias are originally a Japanese flower and were introduced to Europe in the 17th century. Its beauty went on to captivate all of Europe.

Marguerite, the lady of the camellias, wore white camellias for twenty-five days of the month and red camellias for the remaining five.
Her pure love shone like the innocent luster of a pearl, her passion burned like the crimson glow of a garnet.
The name Marguerite also means “pearl” in Greek.
This collection was born inspired by Marguerite, the lady of the Camellias.
Water
あこや真珠貝の眠る海はエメラルド色。
森と海は繋がり、森は豊かな海を育てる。
森の木々が溶け込んだ美しいエメラルドの海。
このエメラルド色はあこや真珠貝の、私たちの原風景の色。
森を守ることは海を守ること、私たちの魂の故郷を守ること。
このエメラルド色の海にインスパイアされたコレクション“ Water”
Water
The sea where akoya pearl oysters slumber is emerald.
Forest and sea are connected; the forest nurtures the richness of the sea.
An emerald sea where forest trees dissolve into the water.
This emerald hue is the original landscape colour of the Akoya pearl oyster, our primordial home.
To protect the forest is to protect the sea, to protect the homeland of our souls.
The collection ‘Water’, inspired by this emerald sea.
"The Leonids"
The Leonids と名付けたリングは、珍しい丸いアコヤケシ真珠を石留めの技法で留めています。
空を流れ落ちる流星群のような美しいK10 の真珠のリングです。
しし座流星群は、毎年11 月中旬にピークを迎える、まさに史上最高の流星群のひとつです。一般的な流星群はそれほど目立つものではないが、しし座流星群がまさに流星の「雨」のように出現することがあり、観測者を驚かせ、科学的な研究にインスピレーションを与えました。

The Leonids
The ring named Leonids features a rare round Akoya Keshi pearl, set using the stone-setting technique. It is a beautiful pearl ring reminiscent of a meteor shower streaking across the sky.
The Leonid meteor shower, which peaks every year in mid-November, is one of the most spectacular meteor showers in history. While most meteor showers are not particularly conspicuous, the Leonids can appear as a veritable “shower” of meteors, astonishing observers and inspiring scientific research.

During the Acoya pop-up at FEELSEEN GINZA, we are accepting special orders for rings featuring dangling pearls. “The Leonids” adorns your little finger with a sparkling meteor shower — a cascade of light.
